Arrival and Dismissal
To ensure a smooth start and end to each school day, we ask that parents follow the designated procedures for both arrival and dismissal. In the morning, students should arrive at the Park Ave side of the building. Please make sure an adult accompanies your child until they enter the school at 8:20 a.m. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that parents refrain from entering the building during arrival unless it's necessary for special circumstances. At dismissal (3:10 p.m), children will be released only to authorized individuals listed on the emergency contact form. Please be on time for pick-up, as our teachers will ensure all students are safely handed off to their parents or caregivers. If there are any changes to your child’s usual pick-up routine, please notify the school secretary in advance.
Absences
If your child will be absent from school, please notify our school secretary as soon as possible. When reporting an absence, please include your child’s name, the reason for the absence, and the expected return date if known.

Snack and Lunch
Healthy eating is key to helping our little learners stay energized and focused throughout the day. We encourage parents to send balanced snacks, such as fruits, vegetables, whole-grain crackers, or yogurt. Please make sure that the food is easy for your child to eat independently. Additionally, be sure to send your child with a water bottle to keep them hydrated throughout the day. For lunch, please pack it in containers that your child can easily open on their own. This promotes independence and helps them feel more confident during mealtime. For the safety of all students, we maintain a strict no-nut policy. If your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can make appropriate accommodations.
Fun Lunch
On Tuesdays and Fridays, the PTO provides lunch from different local restaurants. More information on how you can sign up for this lunch program will be available soon.
A Change of Clothes for Your Child
To help ensure your child is comfortable throughout the school day, please send in an extra set of clothes to keep at school. Accidents happen, and having a change of clothes on hand will make sure your child is prepared. Please place the clothes in a labeled bag with your child's first and last name, so we can easily identify them when needed. Thank you for helping us keep your child’s school experience as smooth as possible!
Mystery Reader
One of the fun activities we do in Kindergarten is called “Mystery Reader.” It’s a special surprise where a guest, usually a parent or family member, comes in to read a story to the class. The best part is that the reader’s identity is kept a secret until they arrive, which builds excitement among the kids! Before the reading, I’ll give a few clues to help the children guess who it might be. It’s a great way to connect school and home while making reading even more fun for the kids. If you're interested, I'd love for you to be our next Mystery Reader! It’s such a special experience for everyone involved.
